UGent TechTransfer & IOF online info session

Bringing research to life with advice and funding from UGent TechTransfer and IOF

Curious about what the Industrial Research Fund (IOF) and UGent TechTransfer can do for you as a researcher? Are you looking for funding to further test and develop your innovative idea? Not sure who you can turn to for advice on protecting your research? Do you want some more insight in possible valorisation paths for your research? Or do you want to gain inspiration based on projects and spin-offs that predecessors in your domain have started?

Then, take part in one of our online information sessions (in English). The following topics will be covered in one hour (afterwards there is time for Q&A):

  • Valorising your research, what are the possibilities?
  • Funding from Ghent University via IOF project calls to valorize research (from 50K to 650K euros).
  • Information about existing courses and initiatives at Ghent University regarding valorisation (often free for Ghent University employees).
  • Support from the IOF business developers and UGent TechTransfer and your direct point of contact: legal advice, IP protection of research results,...

In order to be able to give specific examples, linked to the research of the participants, we offer 3 information sessions. These have the same core, but the examples are tailored to the specific disciplines and backgrounds of the researchers:

  • Tuesday, October 12: Exact & Applied Sciences;
  • Tuesday, October 19: Biomedical & Medical Sciences;
