The industry in Europe is responsible for one fourth of the total final energy consumption. To reduce total energy use, the industry will have to play an important role. However, they are doing well: the energy intensity in the European industry decreased rapidly in the last decade. Increasing energy prices are a very important extra motivation to use energy efficiently for companies.

Our contributions relate to more energy efficient key components and systems in industry for (controlling) the power flows.
