What?

Working together with stakeholders, students, or the end-users is becoming more and more important for reseachers from various research disciplines. During this inspiration day, we will bundle the expertise about participatory research at our university.

Programme:

09.15–09.30h. Introduction and welcome – Ignace Lemahieu

09.30–10.50h. Keynote Prof. dr. Tineke Abma – Author of the book 'Participatory Research for Health and Social Well-being'.

10.50–11.00h. Break

11.00–12.00h. Panel discussion with six experienced researchers from our university  With Luce Beeckmans, Bas Baccarne, Tessa Boeykens, Wendy Van de Velde & Griet Roets.

12.00–12.45h. Break

12.45–14.15h. Breakout sessions

- How to work emancipatory with specific target groups? Facilitators: Maïté Verloigne, Ines Keygnaert & Evelyne Deceur.

- How to work participatively with students? Facilitators: With Charlotte Prové, Jelle Saldien, Lesley Hustinx & Elisabeth De Schauwer.
- How to work co-creatively with different stakeholders? Facilitators: Bas Baccarne, Charlotte De Kock & Lynda Grine.

14.30–15.00h. Conclusions & next steps
