Specific course requirements
The central theme of this course deals with the evaluation of current environmental and energy policy frameworks (mainly in the European context). Are these frameworks effective or cost-efficient, what are the welfare consequences, are there better alternatives, etc.
To attend this course, a basic economic background is important. You should have followed at least a good course ‘Introduction to Economics’ or ‘Principles of Economics’ with the inclusion of basic concepts from environmental economics like externalities and public goods.
