Professor Stijn Baert edits a special issue on labour market discrimination

labour market discriminationAn important threshold towards sustainable societies is discrimination. Labour market discrimination ensures the sustainable integration of certain individuals and their children (and therefore their prosperity and well-being). Recent experimental research indicates that recruitment discrimination in particular is a problem on the labour market of OECD countries.

Professor Stijn Baert is guest editor of a special issue of peer-reviewed international journal Sustainability (impact factor: 2.576) concerning this topic. The special issue brings together experimental research that focusses on (i) measuring recruitment discrimination as well as experiments that make a scientific contribution to (ii) explaining or (iii) remedying this problem. Literature reviews of parts of this experimental literature are also welcome.

The deadline for submissions is 31 August 2021. More information can be found here.
