Clinic of ruminants: the individual animal


The animal clinic for ruminants is open 24h/24; 7d/7 for the urgent sick animal.

Different species such as cows, sheeps, goats, lamas, alpacas, camelids,...can be examined and treated at the clinic.

Specialised research such as ultrasound, endoscopy, blood analysis can be performed in-house at the clinic and is performed by specialised veterinarians.

Scientific research in bovine health management is done to ameliorate diagnostic and therapeutic startegies.

More than 500 ruminants a year are examined at the department with the following problems:

  • diarrhea
  • colic
  • urinary problems (i.e.: obstruction of the urethra)
  • respiratory problems
  • sudden milk drop
  • skin problems
  • muscle problems
  • liver problems
  • nervous symptoms
  • intensive care

For a herd health visit an appointment can be made from monday to friday from 8am to 16pm (+32 9 264 75 90).
