Getting to the Laboratory

By car: motorway E17 or E40

  • Arriving at Gent, take exit "GENT CENTRUM"
  • At the bifurcation just before the viaduct take exit "ALLE RICHTINGEN" (not "Gent Centrum")
  • Under the viaduct take the extreme left lane and turn left diracton a.o. "Zelzate", "Eeklo"
  • Follow this direction until the 7th traffic light just before a church in front of you. Take the small street to the right before the church ("Ekkergemstraat")
  • Follow this street until you arrive at a canal - "Coupure links"
  • At the left corner you find the entrance of the campus of the "Faculteit Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen" Parking may be available along the Coupure, but is not free. As a visitor, you may however park on the faculty ground provided your visit has been announced on beforehand to the gate-keeper. Therefore, if you want to park on the faculty
    • announce your visit on beforehand to us;
    • ask that we warn the gate-keeper about your arrival;
    • upon arrival, identify yourself at the gate (from inside the car at the gate, press the button and talk to the gate-keeper).

By train: arriving at "Sint-Pietersstation"

  • Take tramline 21, 22 or 40, 41 and get off at the "Rosemarijn" bridge across the canal "Coupure".
  • Cross the road (on the corner, you find a sandwich bar called "Broodhuis 503") and follow "Coupure links" along the canal.
  • The entrance of the campus of "Faculteit Landbouwkundige en Toegepaste Biologische Wetenschappen" is on the next left corner (± 5 MIN.).

Finding the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry and Applied Ecochemistry within the Faculty

    We are housed in the newer, high building at the campus. Take the elevator to the highest floor (6th floor). The laboratory is located to the left.
