Bernard De Baets becomes honorary member of European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology

(19-10-2021) On September 22, Bernard De Baets was acknowledged as an honorary member of EUSFLAT, the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology.

EUSFLAT is a non-profit European society devoted to promote and disseminate the methods, techniques and developments of Fuzzy Logic and related technologies.

Founded in 1999, EUSFLAT encourages the scientific communication and collaboration among its members, organizing, promoting and sponsoring conferences, workshops and seminars. The society advises associates and companies on subjects regarding Fuzzy Logic and it is a member of the International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) representing the European researchers at the IFSA council.

The society awards honorary members who, due to their prestige or by having significantly contributed towards dignifying and developing the society, become worthy of such a distinction.

Bernard De Baets is only the eighth scientist receiving this distinction since the creation of the society in 1999. The award ceremony took place on September 22, 2021, in the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava, Slovakia. Bernard De Baets attended the live event in MS Teams.
