The Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University has the pleasure to invite you to the inaugural lectures of prof. dr. Philippe De Smedt, prof. dr. ir. Kim Calders and prof. dr. ir. Wouter Maes. Followed by a panel discussion moderated by prof. dr. ir. Frieke Vancoillie. After the inaugural event, a drink will be offered in the Agora (building E).
The new professors and their research areas:
- Prof. dr. Philippe De Smedt: human-environment interation, archaeology, applied geophysics, prehistory, electromagnetic survey methods
- Prof. dr. ir. Kim Calders: laser scannning, earth observation, terrestrial ecology, climate change
- Prof. dr. ir. Wouter Maes: UAV remote sensing, hyperspectral & thermal remote sensing and precision agriculture
